Recipe for Prawns Buttermilk curry/Chemmeen Moru curry
U need
Prawns-1/2kg
Tender mango-cut into small cubes-1/2 cup
red chilli powder-3 tsp
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Yogurt-1/2 cup
Thick Coconut milk-1/2 cup
Cumin seeds-2 tsp
turmeric-1/2 tsp
green chillies-4
curry leaves -3 stems
grated coconut-1/2 cup.
ginger garlic paste-1 tblsp.
dried red chillies-2-3 nos.
mustard seeds-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coconut Oil-1 tablespoon.
Earthenware Pot.
How to make Prawns Buttermilk curry/Chemmeen moru curry...
..1.Clean prawns well using curd and turmeric.
2.Marinate prawns with a little salt, chilly powder, ginger garlic paste.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
3.Take an earthenware pot,cook the prawns with tender mangoes, little salt, turmeric,yogurt and 1/4 cup water.Wait till all water goes off and gravy is almost thick..
4.Make a fine paste out of grated coconut,green chillies,cumin seeds and thick coconut milk...
5.Add this paste to cooked prawns.Mix well for 2 mins in low heat.
6.Then for seasoning,splutter some mustard seeds in oil,followed by curry leaves, coriander powder and dried red chilly...Check salt and sourness...Add salt if needed...U can adjust the sournessby adding little curd/gamboge.(optional).
7.Serve hot.Njoy:)
